Twenty years ago, I picked up a camera as a new mom and fell in love with the process of freezing time. For years that time machine was a point-and-shoot camera, but as my kids grew, I felt the itch to have more creative control over what those images and memories looked like. My first big girl camera was a Sony Alpha, and I wore it out within a few years. As my kids gravitated towards sports, I became a volunteer photographer for their sports teams. In 2023 I moved onto free-lance photography for the Beehive Sport & Social Club adult recreation league Salt Lake City, first as a pool shooter and then the official league photographer. Since then I’ve joined the photography pool at the Maverik Center for concert and sporting event coverage and am part of broadcast team for youth sporting events along the Wasatch front. Off the field I have a passion for public safety and love capturing the efforts of our first responders and military community in action.
